Protest scheduled for Wednesday, October 11
Monday, October 9, 2006
It seems that the community needs a reminder that the boycott of Ralph’s and Bayview is still going on. The typical boycott takes more than two years to have an effect.
We are hoping that since Ralph’s is also feeling legal pressure from the Board of Pharmacy this boycott won’t stretch out that long. The Board investigations should be completed in March or April. But our hope of seeing Plan B stocked at Ralph’s by the end of summer was a little too optimistic, apparently.
Thanks to all of you who are continuing to support the boycott, despite the personal inconvenience.
Picketers have noticed that there are usually fewer cars in the Ralph’s parking lot a half an hour after we start picketing than when we arrived. This happens pretty consistently. There are a lot of people in this community who won’t cross a picket line. Our presence on the picket line DOES make a difference.
Please try to join us Wednesday from 5-6:30 pm. Janet will bring lots of signs, as well as some big, new, colorful boycott buttons. If you’d like a button, but can’t make the picket, email her to work something out.
Thanks for your support!
